Bar fit out for Le Vignoble
A bespoke wine bar, retail and tasting space built inside a Grade II listed building. Specialist Enomatic® equipment, a two week turnaround and strict noise and access restrictions, all worked around with off-site manufacture.
The Brief
Le Vignoble is a hybrid of lounge, retail and education space. The premises needed to be able to sell wine on- and off-licence, while also serving as an elegant venue for wine discovery courses. Having worked with this award-winning wine business before, we were keen to get involved when they approached us about their new premises in Bath city centre.
The site came with constraints: a tight two week timeline, specialist Enomatic® equipment, and the licensing restrictions that come with a Grade II listed building. The premises also sat in a parade with restricted vehicle access, parking restrictions between 8am and 5pm, and strict noise rules, with no noisy work allowed before 8am, between 11.30 and 1pm, or after 6pm.
The Solution
Our designer had drawn up an ambitious layout that squeezed as much multifunctional utility as possible into the space without compromising on style. We manufactured the booth seating and bars with that goal in mind, using materials that could stand up to everyday use while still contributing to the atmosphere Le Vignoble is known for.
To work within the noise and access restrictions, we completed most of the custom built joinery in our workshop in Redruth and delivered it almost finished, piece by piece.
With careful project management and consideration for Le Vignoble’s neighbours, we completed the job inside the two week turnaround.
The result is a second premises the owners are proud of, marrying form and function for trader and customer alike.
